Jeff Sivyer
Prayer is truly the fuel for my ministry. I take the James 1:5 passage to heart because I need wisdom; therefore, I must seek God because He gives generously to all!
Jeff Sivyer is a retired church planter who currently serves with The Grove Church in Painesville Twp., Ohio. He served for 13 years as a police officer in Livonia, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Jeff completed his Master’s degree in “Marriage & Family Therapy” from Wayne State University. What followed was a brief opportunity as General Manager of a Christian Radio Station and 8 years as Director of Operations of 7 counseling centers in mid-Michigan before coming to Ohio.
Jeff currently serves as a Regional Director for the 64 Fellowship, a Renewal Coach for The 6:3 Discipleship, a member of the Spiritual Advisory Board of Hannah’s Home, Chaplain of the YMCA of Lake County, and Past President of the Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce (now known as the Eastern Lake County Chamber of Commerce).
Jeff and his wife Cindy have been married since 1972 years and have two daughters and 4 grandchildren.
I attended prayer meetings with my father when I was 11 years old, so I grew up thinking that I had a handle on what prayer was all about. As I entered full-time ministry and planted churches, I soon realized the importance of a deeper more intimate prayer life. It wasn’t until 8 years ago when I learned of the 6:4 Fellowship that I found the words to best describe my heart’s intention for prayer. Since that time, my love of the Word has grown and my time with the Lord so much richer.
